Accenture, CMU Launch AI Adoption Maturity Model

Accenture and Carnegie Mellon University's Software Engineering Institute have launched a new framework called the AI Adoption Maturity Model. This model helps organizations scale their artificial intelligence initiatives. Here's the thing: The framework measures an organization's readiness across eight key areas. These include strategy, workforce, governance, data, and operations. It also includes a tool to help organizations identify gaps and create a roadmap for AI adoption. What's interesting is that this model was developed to address limitations in existing AI maturity frameworks. Many of these older models lacked an engineering foundation or real-world validation. The new framework draws on Carnegie Mellon SEI's four decades of experience and Accenture's work on over 11,000 advanced AI projects. This effort aims to help both commercial and government organizations move their AI initiatives from pilot programs to full-scale deployment.
