Agentic AI: Data Contextualization Key to Unlocking Potential

Agentic AI cannot be fully used without making data contextualized. A new report finds that most organizations are not realizing the full potential of their AI models because their data infrastructure is lacking. Here's the thing: 77% of data leaders say 20% or less of their data is contextualized. This means agentic AI is not being fully operationalized. In fact, 40% of organizations have developing agentic AI maturity, meaning they have solid AI models but lack context and unification for their data. A majority of respondents, 40%, are in this development stage. What's interesting is that only 7% of organizations are in the final stage of operationalizing agentic AI, where they have unified, governed data with multi-step workflows. The bottom line: Contextualized data is crucial for AI to truly understand an organization's operations, and without it, the benefits of agentic AI remain out of reach for many.
