Agentic AI in Neuroscience: Labs Adapt to New Era

This became clear during a demonstration in Barbados, where an AI built a web app in minutes. What's interesting is how quickly this technology is being adopted. One lab prototyped a complex new decoding pipeline in a single day, a task that previously took much longer. This speed and impact are prompting labs to develop formal AI policies. However, there are concerns. Many PhD students worry that AI could reduce opportunities for deep skill development. They also question how much researchers need to understand AI outputs and how to verify results. The bottom line is that labs need to actively decide how, when, and why to use agentic AI, rather than just letting it happen.
