Agentic AI: Scaling Challenges & 2030 Predictions

Many organizations are experimenting with AI agents, but few are successfully scaling them. This gap between pilot and production will shape the next four years. Agentic AI systems are designed to achieve objectives with limited human input, by reasoning, planning, and acting across multiple steps. The UK government expects this capability to emerge "very soon." By 2028, Gartner predicts AI agents will outnumber human sellers by 10 to 1. However, fewer than 40% of sellers expect these agents to actually improve productivity. This highlights a significant challenge in integrating advanced AI into business operations.
