Agentrys: $24.5M for AI Chip Design Platform

Agentrys has raised $24.5 million to develop its agentic chip-design platform. This San Jose-based company aims to automate a larger share of the chip design process using AI agents. The financing includes an oversubscribed $19.1 million seed round and an earlier $5.4 million pre-seed investment. Agentrys plans to use this capital to recruit employees, develop agent-native engineering tools, and expand customer engagements. They are already working with several major fabless semiconductor companies, a leading global foundry, and multiple chip startups. Founder and CEO Mark Ren launched Agentrys after nearly three decades in Electronic Design Automation and AI research. The company's Agentic Design Automation, or ADA, uses AI agents to execute broader workflows, learn from results, and improve over time. This approach targets processes that influence whether semiconductor designs meet requirements and stay on schedule. The company is building an open platform where engineering teams can create and own agents tailored to their workflows. This could help make the $800 billion global semiconductor industry more efficient.
