Agoda Tech Camp Day: Agentic AI for 400+ Students

Agoda recently held its 11th Tech Camp Day, focusing on agentic AI for over 400 students from 12 universities. This two-day event in Bangkok, in collaboration with Thailand's Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, taught students about practical AI applications. What's interesting is that the program moved beyond chat-based tools to real-world problem-solving with AI. Agoda software engineers led workshops, giving students hands-on experience in using AI for writing, research, planning, and optimization. They also covered safe and responsible AI use. Since 2023, Tech Camp Day has reached over 3,700 students, offering training in AI applications, UX/UI design, and web development. Professor Yodchanan Wongsawat, Ph.D., from Thailand's MHESI, emphasized the importance of such initiatives for developing the nation's tech talent. The bottom line is that programs like this help equip young people with essential tools for a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
