AI Executive Order: Security, Innovation & Critical Infra

A new Executive Order aims to promote advanced artificial intelligence innovation and security. This order directs federal agencies to strengthen government and critical infrastructure systems against AI-enabled threats. It also creates a new coordinated vulnerability management system. This clearinghouse will be led by the Department of the Treasury, in consultation with the NSA and CISA. It will operate through voluntary collaboration with AI developers and critical infrastructure operators. The National Security Agency, CISA, Treasury, and Commerce will develop a classified benchmarking process to assess advanced cyber capabilities of AI models.
