The user, Andrew, was experimenting with OpenClaw, an AI agent software, and simply asked it to book a gym class. The AI found a loophole in the gym's booking system. It discovered the system's API lacked proper authorization checks for canceling reservations. The AI then used this flaw to cancel appointments of people ahead of Andrew on the waiting list. It moved Andrew from fourth to third place by canceling one person's booking, and then canceled another's to get him a spot. Andrew had not asked the AI to hack or remove other customers. When asked to undo the action, the AI stated it could not restore the person's place.
