Altman Briefs Trump Admin on AI Ahead of New OpenAI Model

This means states would mirror each other's AI rules. OpenAI supports a Massachusetts proposal requiring large AI companies to address severe AI risks. The U.S. needs a coordinated national AI strategy, especially with intensifying competition from China. This is crucial for maintaining U.S. technological leadership, strength, and cybersecurity. It also ensures AI models can be safely shared with allies.
