Amazon AI Payments: Coinbase & Stripe Power AgentCore

Amazon Web Services just launched a new payment system for AI agents called AgentCore Payments. This lets AI tools pay for things like web content or other AI services on their own. Here's the thing: Coinbase and Stripe are making this possible. Developers can link a Coinbase or Stripe wallet to their AI agents. These agents can then use stablecoins or fiat currency to make instant, micro-transactions. Initially, payments will happen in USDC. What's interesting is that this is the first managed payment tool specifically for AI agents. It creates an "agent economy" where AI systems can find services, negotiate, and pay for what they need. Stripe, through its acquisition of Privy, is building the wallet infrastructure for this.
