Amazon CEO Raised Anthropic AI Concerns Before Ban

Amazon CEO Andy Jassy reportedly raised security concerns about an AI model before a government crackdown. Jassy told government officials that Amazon researchers used Anthropic’s Claude Fable 5 to get information potentially useful in cyberattacks. What's interesting is the government then imposed an export control ban on the Fable 5 and Mythos 5 models. Amazon, a major investor in Anthropic, also communicated concerns about the security of these models. A former AI czar, David Sacks, claimed a trusted partner informed officials about a "jailbreak" in the model. He added that Anthropic's CEO reportedly refused to fix it or de-deploy the model.
