Amazon Drops Sam Altman Biopic: "Artificial" Seeks New Home

Amazon will no longer release the Sam Altman biopic, "Artificial." Amazon MGM has ended its partnership with director Luca Guadagnino for the film. Andrew Garfield stars as the OpenAI founder in the movie, which is reportedly nearly completed. The studio's decision comes after its expanded multi-billion-dollar deal with OpenAI, announced in February, for cloud services and investment. Amazon stated that "Artificial" would be "better served" by a different studio and is helping the filmmaking team find a new distributor. Reports suggest the film had positive screen tests but its portrayals of Altman and Elon Musk might be disliked by audiences. This development means the film is now seeking a new home.
