Amazon drops Sam Altman biopic: "Artificial" seeks new home

Amazon MGM Studios has reportedly dropped "Artificial," a film portraying OpenAI CEO Sam Altman in a negative light. The movie, directed by Luca Guadagnino and starring Andrew Garfield as Altman, is nearly completed. What's interesting is an Amazon representative stated they believe "Artificial" would be better served by a different studio and are working to find it a new home. The head of Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios, Mike Hopkins, reportedly pulled the plug after seeing a cut of the film. This decision follows a reported $50 billion partnership between OpenAI and Amazon. Additionally, Altman and Amazon's Jeff Bezos are reportedly friendly.
