Amazon MGM & AWS Launch GenAI Fund for AI Video Production

Amazon MGM Studios and AWS are launching a new initiative for AI-powered video production. They announced the GenAI Creators’ Fund and Project Nara. This fund offers grants, funding, and access to advanced AI tools for filmmakers and tech startups. Its goal is to support professional filmmakers and fund new projects. Prime Video has already greenlit three animated series using this platform: "Cupcake & Friends," "Love, Diana Music Hunters," and "Punky Duck." Project Nara is the technological platform behind this initiative. It's built on AWS infrastructure and is available to Amazon MGM Studios teams and selected fund participants. This platform uses intelligent task routing and combines external video generation models with Amazon's own solutions. It integrates with industry-standard tools like Maya and Blender and includes provenance tracking for every generated asset. This initiative aims to lower production costs and barriers in filmmaking. It could also help democratize high-quality content creation.
