Anthropic IPO: $2 Trillion Valuation, Tops SpaceX Record

AI startup Anthropic is planning a historic stock market debut as soon as this autumn. The company aims to raise over $100 billion, potentially valuing it at up to $2 trillion. This move could eclipse the record initial public offering set by SpaceX, which went public with a valuation of $1.77 trillion. Anthropic's bankers have suggested a fund-raise of more than $100 billion, which implies a valuation that could reach $2 trillion. This figure would more than double Anthropic's last private valuation of $965 billion. The company has reportedly filed confidentially for an IPO and could list shares as early as autumn. Anthropic is working with major banks including Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, and JPMorgan. Internal documents show the company recorded a net loss of almost $42 billion in 2025, but its revenue growth has been steep, reaching an annualised run rate of $65 billion by the end of July. This highlights the intense competition and significant financial movements happening in the AI industry.
