Anthropic Launches Claude Fable 5 & Mythos 5 AI Models

VocoLife Tech News. Anthropic has launched two new models: Claude Fable 5 and Claude Mythos 5. Fable 5 is a Mythos-class model available for general use, and it surpasses previous models in AI capability. It shows strong performance in software engineering, knowledge work, vision, and scientific research. What's interesting is that Fable 5 includes safeguards. Queries on certain topics will instead receive a response from Claude Opus 4.8. These safeguards trigger in less than 5% of sessions. For a select group of cyberdefenders, Anthropic is also launching Claude Mythos 5. This model has the same underlying technology as Fable 5 but with some safeguards lifted. Mythos 5 has the strongest cybersecurity capabilities globally and is being deployed through Project Glasswing with the US government. The new models are priced at $10 per million input tokens and $50 per million output tokens, which is less than half the price of Claude Mythos Preview. These advancements aim to bring powerful AI capabilities to more users.
