Anthropic Mythos AI: 10,000+ Bugs Found, Cybersecurity Alert

Anthropic's Claude Mythos Preview has identified over 10,000 high- or critical-severity vulnerabilities in software. Partners in Project Glasswing, a restricted cybersecurity program, found these bugs using the unreleased AI model in just one month. For example, Cloudflare alone discovered 2,000 bugs, with 400 rated as high or critical. What's interesting is that Mythos also scanned over 1,000 open-source projects, estimating 6,202 high- or critical-severity vulnerabilities out of 23,019 total findings. This means AI can now find dangerous bugs faster than many companies can verify and patch them. The bottom line is this poses a significant challenge for cybersecurity, as the volume of identified issues can overwhelm current processes.
