Anthropic Sued: AI Usage Limits Misleading Customers

An angry customer is suing Anthropic, alleging the company misled users about usage limits for its premium AI plans. Karl Kahn filed a federal lawsuit claiming Anthropic's "Max 5x" and "Max 20x" plans do not deliver the advertised usage capacity. These plans cost $100 and $200 a month, respectively, and are marketed to offer five or twenty times the usage of the standard Claude Pro plan. However, the lawsuit states customers receive "far below the advertised amount." Kahn, a "Max 20x" subscriber, reported hitting his weekly usage limit quickly, sometimes after just a five-hour session.
