Anthropic Valued at $965B, Surpasses OpenAI

Anthropic has become the world's most valuable startup, surpassing OpenAI. This follows a new funding round which raised $65 billion. The company's post-money valuation is now $965 billion. This places it ahead of OpenAI's reported valuation of $852 billion. What's interesting is that Anthropic's annualised revenue run rate has sharply climbed to $47 billion. This is up from approximately $10 billion last year. The growth is largely driven by increasing enterprise demand for its Claude AI platform. The newly raised capital will support infrastructure expansion, advanced AI research, and wider deployment of Claude globally. Several major investment firms and institutional investors participated in the funding round. Strategic hardware and infrastructure partners also joined. To prepare for future demand, Anthropic has expanded its computing infrastructure. This includes agreements with Amazon, Google, and Broadcom for additional capacity.
