Anthropic is reportedly preparing to release a public version of its Mythos AI model, potentially named Claude Fable 5. This move has not been officially confirmed by the company. What's interesting is that Mythos is Anthropic’s advanced model for coding, agentic tasks, and cybersecurity work. It can identify and fix software vulnerabilities. In fact, Mythos Preview has already identified thousands of zero-day vulnerabilities across critical infrastructure. The model was previously available only as a gated research preview through Project Glasswing, with access limited to vetted organizations. This was because cybersecurity models can be used for both defensive and harmful purposes. Claude Fable 5 is expected to include new safeguards. These are designed to keep the model useful for cybersecurity while reducing the risk of abuse.
