Apple AI Siri Limited by Older iPhones: Morgan Stanley

Apple's new AI Siri will have limited use on many older iPhones, according to Morgan Stanley. The brokerage states that over 850 million iPhones cannot run basic Apple Intelligence queries, and more than 1.3 billion iPhones cannot use advanced Siri features. This is because older devices lack the necessary capabilities. The upgraded Siri, which was a centerpiece of Apple's recent Worldwide Developers Conference, requires specific chip architecture and memory. Users need 12 GB of unified memory for the most advanced features. Currently, Siri AI is available only on iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and iPhone 16 models or later. This means many current iPhone owners may not experience the new AI capabilities. The bottom line is that your current iPhone might not be able to handle Apple's latest AI advancements.
