Asian AI Adoption Soars, Governance Lags: Report

Organizations across Asia are embracing agentic AI, but they face significant challenges with resilience and AI governance. A new report finds nearly all Asian organizations plan to increase AI investment in 2026. Over one-third are already testing or deploying agentic AI. Here's the thing: these resilience gaps expose businesses to operational risks that could threaten their continuity. The number of non-human identities accessing critical systems is growing rapidly, outnumbering human identities by as much as 82-to-1 globally. While 73% of organizations include human identities in cyber resilience planning, only 34% extend this to non-human identities. This gap is critical as AI collapses the time between exposure and impact. This means organizations need to rethink their recovery strategies to keep their businesses running.
