Atlassian AI for Trello: Instant Boards with MCP

Atlassian is making organization simpler with AI integration for Trello. This new feature, called MCP, allows users to create Trello boards instantly with a simple command to an AI assistant. For example, you can tell the AI to "turn this into a Trello board" for a travel itinerary or a wedding checklist. This innovation is not just for businesses; it also helps with personal productivity. Over 100 million people use Trello for various tasks, from marathon training to planning events. Sanchan Saxena, SVP and Head of Product, Teamwork Collection at Atlassian, notes that AI agents are now being used beyond developer workflows. Nearly half of MCP users are outside of software teams, including marketers, HR professionals, and project managers. These users are employing AI to actively create, update, and move work forward, not just to retrieve information. This means AI is becoming a more active tool for a wider range of professions.
