AWS is emphasizing database security as new AI threats emerge. Eric Brandwine, a vice president and distinguished engineer at AWS, states that security is a fundamental part of their database strategy. It is built into AWS databases like DynamoDB and Aurora, not added later. Agentic AI changes security needs because agents can find vulnerabilities and automate attacks much faster than humans. Other providers, like Microsoft and MongoDB, have also added security for agentic AI. AWS is ready to defend against and deploy agents to counter these new threats.
