Blue Voice, a Boston-based startup, has raised $6 million in seed funding to expand its AI assistant for US police officers. SignalFire and Las Olas VC co-led this investment round. It's trained on specific department documents, some of which are not publicly available. The system directs users to relevant rules but leaves final decisions to the officer. Blue Voice is currently used daily across 225 county law enforcement agencies in 25 US states, processing about one request per minute. Its customer base has grown elevenfold over the past year. Agencies using the tool report fewer incidents and internal disputes. The system can display school floor plans during active-shooter situations and has helped officers confirm legal grounds for intervention. One example includes an officer using the app to confirm legal grounds to intervene when a man tried to lure a girl into a car.
