Boomi AI Control Plane: Govern Enterprise AI Agents

Boomi has launched new platform features designed to help businesses deploy AI agents widely. These new tools aim to give companies more control over security, costs, data, and access to business systems. What's interesting is Boomi's Agent Control Plane. This AI-native infrastructure layer connects AI agents to core enterprise systems, while also monitoring and governing their actions. Boomi's chairman and CEO, Steve Lucas, highlights a key issue: two years ago, 31% of FinOps practitioners managed AI spending, but this year that number jumped to 98%. He notes that finance departments are asking critical questions about AI spending: which agent spent what, on what, and who approved it. Without these answers, AI becomes an undefendable expense. The Agent Control Plane aims to solve this by making agents visible, actions governed, and costs attributable. It works across various cloud environments and on-premises infrastructure, offering centralized visibility and enforcing identity and rate limits. It can also monitor AI traffic, control token spending, and require human approval for high-risk transactions. This means businesses can scale their AI operations with greater confidence and accountability.
