Boomi Companion: Win AI Agent Default with Open-Source Skills

Boomi has launched Companion, a suite of five open-source Agent Skills. These skills are simple documents that tell an AI model where to look for information. Companion acts as both a working example of an Agent Skill in production and a guide for other vendors. The five skills cover tasks like building integration processes, searching the Boomi Marketplace, and managing Data Hub models. Agent Skills are an open standard and work with over 30 compatible agents, including Claude Code and OpenAI Codex. Once installed, a skill stays loaded, ensuring future requests use the vendor's specific information. This matters because vendors are racing to have their skill installed first, giving them default status within a developer's AI agent.
