Bulgaria's AI Cybershield: Google Cloud Boosts Defenses

Bulgaria's Information Services and Google Cloud are working together to enhance the country's national cyber defenses. This partnership uses AI-powered cybersecurity solutions to protect 54 government entities. This collaboration marks one of the first implementations of Google Cloud's Cybershield in Europe, making Bulgaria a flagship for centralized, AI-powered national security. The project aims to improve national security infrastructure. Information Services is using Google Cloud Security Operations to get a centralized view of threats across government entities. This helps create a unified and quick response. The integration includes Mandiant's insights and advanced technology to scale security operations. Simeon Kartselyanski, Cyber Security Manager at Information Services, states this partnership matures their national defenses. The project also includes specialized analyst capabilities to support Information Services in detecting and neutralizing complex intrusion scenarios. This initiative, supported by EU funding, helps Bulgaria move from a reactive to a proactive defensive stance against cyber threats.
