ChatGPT Computer History: Monitor Your Mac Activity?

ChatGPT now offers a new "Computer History" feature, allowing it to "monitor" your computer activity. This feature records your actions, like clicks, typing, and app switching, by accessing macOS accessibility permissions. It does not collect screenshots, screen recordings, or audio. These actions are temporarily stored on your Mac for up to 48 hours and then organized into local text summaries. This allows ChatGPT to find relevant information when you ask questions later. The feature is disabled by default and requires the macOS ChatGPT desktop client, along with a Pro, Business, or Enterprise subscription. You can enable it in the "Integrations" settings page. This capability could help users easily recall past computer activities.
