ChatGPT for macOS: Computer History Remembers Your Activity

ChatGPT on macOS now includes a new Computer History feature. This allows ChatGPT to remember activity across the apps and websites you use. It replaces the previous Chronicle research preview. Instead of screenshots or recordings, Computer History records interaction events like clicks, typing, and app switches. ChatGPT then converts these events into text summaries and local memory files. This means ChatGPT can understand the context of your recent work. The feature lets you ask questions about past activity, like "What was I working on before my last break?" or "Where can I find the proposal document I was looking for earlier today?" It can also help turn repeated desktop workflows into automated skills. This Computer History feature is off by default for ChatGPT Pro, Business, and Enterprise users. It will not record private-mode web browsing data. The feature is available worldwide, except in the European Economic Area, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. This update gives ChatGPT a much richer understanding of your daily computer use.
