OpenAI states that teenagers should be able to use AI for learning and creativity, but with safeguards that consider their developmental stages. This launch comes as Meta faces a lawsuit alleging it contributed to addictive behavior in teenagers. This matters because it shows a growing focus on age-appropriate AI tools and user safety.
