For Plus and Pro subscribers, the upgraded GPT-5.6 Sol model offers improved performance for tasks like research and decision-making. These premium users also gain a "thinking slider" to adjust the AI's reasoning depth. OpenAI states these upgrades reduce factual errors by over 60%. This announcement comes as ChatGPT celebrates reaching one billion weekly users. However, limits on files, images, voice, and image generation will remain. This means more access and accuracy for many ChatGPT users.
