ChatGPT Luna: Free Unlimited AI Chat for Everyone

OpenAI is making its AI tools more accessible to everyone. ChatGPT Free users will soon get unlimited text chats powered by the new GPT-5.6 Luna model. This update replaces the previous GPT-5.5 model for free and Go users. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman stated that 5.6 Luna works much better in chat now. The company is also bringing back the "Think" button, allowing ChatGPT to spend more time on questions requiring deeper reasoning. While text chats will be unlimited, specific limits will still apply to features like file uploads and image generation. OpenAI also says the new GPT-5.6 Luna is more reliable, with factual errors dropping by 62% compared to the previous model in internal evaluations. This means more people can access advanced AI capabilities for free.
