The ChatGPT desktop app for macOS is introducing a new Computer History feature. This feature logs your clicks, keystrokes, and web browsing, turning them into a searchable timeline. The goal is to make ChatGPT an intelligent assistant that can help you resume unfinished work or locate files. It records interaction events using macOS's accessibility system, summarizing them into plain-text and local memory files. You can then browse this timeline to see what you worked on and which apps you used. ChatGPT can even suggest automations for repeatable workflows. You can ask it about your recent activity, like what you were doing before a break or where a document went. This feature is off by default and requires the Memories feature to be on. It's available to Pro, Business, and Enterprise ChatGPT users in the U.S. You can pause collection, exclude specific apps or websites, and delete your history. This new functionality could significantly change how you interact with your computer.
