ChatGPT on Mac: iMessage Integration & Auto-Reply

ChatGPT can now read and send iMessages on Mac computers. This update, announced by OpenAI, allows the chatbot to search, read, and send messages through a new plugin. Users can ask ChatGPT to check calendars and reply to contacts with available times for dinner. It can also suggest follow-up responses to unread texts, detect spam, and find birthdays mentioned in messages to add them to a calendar. By default, users must approve each text drafted by ChatGPT before it's sent. However, settings can be adjusted to automatically approve all texts. This feature is currently only available on Mac, not iPhone. To use it, you need to install the Apple Messages plugin within the ChatGPT desktop application. This capability could streamline how you manage your communications.
