This new tool supports over 12,000 financial institutions, including major banks, through a partnership with Plaid. The system helps users manage money by offering a personalized dashboard. This dashboard shows spending patterns, active subscriptions, upcoming bills, and portfolio performance. ChatGPT can also remember specific financial goals, like saving for a car, using its "Financial memories" feature. It's important to know that ChatGPT cannot view full account numbers or modify accounts. It only accesses balances, transactions, investments, and liabilities. Users can disconnect accounts at any time, which leads to data deletion within 30 days. This feature is currently exclusive to ChatGPT Pro users. This could change how many people manage their personal finances.
