ChatGPT Schedules Tasks: New Automation Feature Rolls Out

OpenAI is rolling out a new scheduled tasks feature for ChatGPT, starting today. This update allows users to ask ChatGPT to send reminders, manage recurring work, or monitor information. A new Scheduled page in the sidebar provides a central place to view, pause, edit, or delete active tasks. Users can schedule tasks for specific times or broader windows like morning, afternoon, or evening. Monitoring tasks can search the web and connected apps, notifying users only when there's a relevant change. Scheduled tasks are capped at running once per hour, and unattended tasks might pause after a period of inactivity. This new system replaces the existing Pulse feature, which will be removed in 14 days. The feature is available for Plus, Pro, Business, and Enterprise users. This means more efficient and automated assistance is now available within ChatGPT.
