ChatGPT Voice on Desktop: AI Commands for Mac & Windows

OpenAI has brought ChatGPT Voice to desktop for Mac and Windows devices. This expands their GPT-Live technology to users with paid plans. You can now issue voice commands, and agents work in the background across chat, work, and coding tasks. You can interrupt yourself or change the subject mid-sentence, making conversations feel natural. For example, you can start a coding task with a voice command and keep talking as it runs in the background. Later, you can ask for status updates, and the results will come back to your voice discussion. All progress from multiple tasks feeds back into the chat. Mac users get a feature called Appshots. This captures your frontmost window, including text not visible on screen, and adds it to the context for your next request. This requires system permissions.
