Claude Code: Enhanced Security & Faster Performance

Anthropic has updated its AI coding tool, Claude Code, with a new real-time security-guidance plugin. This plugin monitors code edits and flags dangerous patterns before they reach production. It detects about 25 high-risk vulnerability classes, including SQL injection and hardcoded API keys. When a risky pattern appears, Claude suggests an inline fix, so developers don't have to switch tools. Internal data shows a 30 to 40 percent reduction in security comments on pull requests since the tool's introduction. Beyond security, the update also brings performance improvements. These include a full-screen renderer to prevent flickering, faster streamed responses, and clearer error messages. Rate limits for Pro and higher plans have doubled. Anthropic also announced a deal with SpaceX for over 300 megawatts of new compute capacity, equivalent to more than 220,000 NVIDIA GPUs. This update means more secure and smoother coding for developers.
