Claude Design Overhaul: Enterprise Focus, Code Integration

Anthropic has launched a major overhaul of Claude Design, tackling high token costs and inconsistent output. This update repositions the design assistant for enterprise use, with a direct handoff to Claude Code. The tool previously consumed tokens aggressively, making it difficult for individual users. Now, Claude Design shares usage limits with other Claude tools, and the average turn uses fewer tokens. Error rates have also dropped. A rebuilt canvas editor offers drag, resize, and align controls. Users can import design systems from GitHub, design files, or raw uploads. Claude will then build with approved components and auto-correct its output for brand compliance. A new admin role allows for locking down edits for larger organizations. The second key update is bidirectional Claude Code integration. Developers can import their codebase's design system into Claude Design and seamlessly hand off finished designs to Claude Code, eliminating re-work. This aims to solve long-standing friction between design and engineering workflows.
