Cursor AI Launches India-Only Plan for Developers

Cursor has launched an India-specific AI plan called Cursor Start, priced at 649 rupees per month for Indian developers. This move comes as the company's user base in India has tripled in the past year. Cursor Start offers a more affordable way to access AI-powered coding tools, compared to the standard 20 dollar Pro subscription. The new plan includes features like Cursor Composer 2.5 and Grok 4.5. This India-only plan is not a replacement for the Pro tier, meaning advanced AI models are not included. India is Cursor's third-largest market globally, with more agent requests per user than any other country. This expansion happens ahead of Cursor's expected acquisition by SpaceX. This shows how important India is becoming for global AI companies.
