Cursor's Builds system is now automatically enabled for all Cloud Agent environments. This change eliminates a major bottleneck for autonomous coding agents. Here's the thing: this new system uses a filesystem snapshot architecture. It allows new agent sessions to start from a live, fully initialized machine instead of booting from scratch. What's interesting is that this means sessions now begin in seconds instead of minutes. The bottom line for engineering teams is a new fault-tolerance guarantee. If a bad dependency commit breaks an environment, the agent fleet keeps running from the last successful build. This allows debugging to happen in the background without interrupting operations. This automatic rollout costs nothing, and all new and existing Cloud Agent environments will use Builds by default. This matters because it makes autonomous coding agents more efficient and reliable for large-scale operations.
