Databricks Security: New Features for Enterprise AI & Data

Databricks is launching new security, networking, and compliance features for enterprise protection. These updates aim to make strong security a default, not an add-on. One key highlight is the Private Network Gateway, offering secure connections to data sources. Databricks is also introducing context-based ingress policies for adaptive network controls across various applications and AI workloads. Cloudless compute with a cross-cloud backbone will simplify networking. The company will showcase automatic identity management, which automates identity provisioning and enforces least-privilege access. On the compliance front, a new Azure GovCloud environment and expanded AWS GovCloud capabilities are coming. Databricks is also adding new certifications, including ISMAP, HITRUST, and FedRAMP High. Other features include secure cross-workspace access, serverless egress logs, and account frontend private link. These enhancements mean businesses can expect more robust and simplified security across their data and AI operations.
