Delivery Hero has launched a new agentic AI assistant designed for local shops and restaurants. This AI tool helps small business owners grow their business without increasing their workload. What's interesting is that this assistant doesn't just give advice; it can act on behalf of business owners once they approve. Users interact with the assistant through WhatsApp chats, using text, voice notes, or images. It can also make suggestions independently if permitted. If an owner approves a recommendation, the AI can implement the changes directly. For example, Othman, the owner of Bahraini Kabab in Dubai, says the AI helps him spot things he might miss, like slow-selling dishes or good times for promotions. He appreciates that he stays in control by approving changes. This AI assistant currently supports over 40,000 restaurants across Delivery Hero's global markets. The company plans to continue rolling it out across its platform. This innovation could significantly streamline operations for many small businesses.
