EC-Council ADG: AI Security & Governance Framework

EC-Council has launched a new AI framework and a free AI readiness self-assessment tool. This initiative helps organizations securely adopt and govern artificial intelligence at scale. The framework, called Adopt. Defend. Govern., or ADG, was created with input from practitioners at companies like Citi, JPMorgan Chase, and Microsoft. It offers a unified operating model with three pillars, 12 minimum controls, and nine governance surfaces. The ADG framework aligns with standards like the EU AI Act and NIST AI RMF. What's interesting is that global AI spending is projected to reach $2.5 trillion in 2026, yet only 1% of leaders believe their AI governance capabilities are mature. This new framework aims to close the gap between rapid AI adoption and the need for strong AI accountability. This matters because it provides a practical way for organizations to manage the risks associated with AI deployment.
