Enterprise AI Agent Adoption: Years Away, Says Deloitte

Companies are struggling to move from small generative AI uses to widespread agentic systems. A Deloitte report finds that while about half of tech leaders understand future AI models, only 15% of organizations have scaled multiagent systems. Most organizations are unprepared in areas like workforce, business processes, and security. Tech leaders say it will take at least three to four years for half of business processes to be redesigned around AI agents. This is because many companies are simply adding AI agents on top of existing processes, rather than redesigning from the ground up. The bottom line is that full-scale AI agent adoption for enterprises remains years away due to these complex challenges.
