Flowstate AI: Surfing Foundation Model & MCP Platform Launched

Flowstate has released a new AI model update called the Surfing Foundation Model and launched the Flowstate MCP integration platform. This update follows the processing of 20 million waves across five wave-making technologies. The new model understands an entire wave ride, from take-off to exit. It uses proprietary data from surf parks in six countries and competition footage from partnerships like the World Surf League. What's interesting is this model combines maneuver detection, scoring, wave positioning, and biomechanical feedback into one system. It can automatically score rides without human input. Flowstate says training data includes footage from the 2026 WSL Championship Tour and US Board Riders competitions. Four AI-powered products are in development for 2026, including AI coaching and automated competition scoring. The Flowstate MCP platform offers a standardized way for premium partners to connect third-party applications with Flowstate data and AI tools.
