Google is transforming Gemini Live into a hands-free AI agent, moving beyond basic voice interactions. The biggest change is its integration with Spark, Google's system for complex tasks. This means users can now speak commands to Gemini Live, and Spark will work across Google Docs, Sheets, Drive, and the web in the background. For example, you can speak unstructured thoughts, and Spark can organize them into a Google Docs outline. Gemini Live is also getting a new "Daily Brief" feature, offering a spoken summary of important information from Gmail and Google Calendar. You can also manage Gmail hands-free, searching, summarizing, starring, archiving, or deleting messages with voice commands. What's interesting is Gemini Live can now use context from previous conversations and connected Google services like Gmail, Photos, and YouTube for more personalized responses. This allows it to summarize upcoming events from Gmail and then have Spark create Calendar events. To use Gemini Spark capabilities, a Google AI Pro subscription or higher is needed.
