Gemini Spark: Google's Ambitious AI Personal Assistant

Google has announced Gemini Spark, a new AI agent described as a personal assistant that runs continuously in the cloud. This ambitious AI is powered by Gemini 3.5 and built with Google's Antigravity coding IDE. Spark connects to Google products and integrates with over 30 third-party tools like Adobe, Asana, and Uber. It can handle tasks such as organizing your inbox or flagging urgent customer inquiries for small businesses. Google states Spark will soon be available in Gmail and Chat, and roll out to AI Ultra subscribers in the U.S. next week. To address concerns about autonomous AI, Google introduced the Agent Payments Protocol, or AP2. This framework sets limits on spending and merchant interactions, and currently requires user approval for all transactions. This means Spark is designed to help manage your digital life with built-in safeguards.
