Gemini Spark: Google's New AI Agent for Mac Released

Google has started rolling out its new AI agent, Gemini Spark, for Mac computers. This digital assistant transforms the Gemini app into a proactive companion. What's interesting is that Gemini Spark can perform various tasks on a user's behalf. For example, it can automatically sort PDF documents from your Downloads folder into specific destination folders. It can also generate spreadsheets using local files on your computer, like invoices. In the future, developers plan to expand its functionality to allow remote process execution from a mobile phone. This means you could use your smartphone to find a document on your laptop and have it emailed to you. Google states that the assistant will only access files you explicitly permit. You can also integrate it with Keep and Google Tasks, with future compatibility for third-party products like Dropbox and Canva. The macOS version of Gemini Spark is currently in beta testing. It is available to adult US residents, aged 18 and over, who pay $100 per month for the Google AI Ultra premium service package. This new tool could significantly change how Mac users manage their digital tasks and information.
